I worry the plan is merely a façade meant to attract investment rather than addressing the real needs of those living and working here. Heartfelt dialogue is required; otherwise, we risk alienating our own residents.

I can hardly express my deep unease regarding the Local Plan. It feels overly sales-focused, aimed at enticing new investors instead of first meeting the essential needs of current residents of Example District. The push for growth and development seems to put profits over people, which is something I believe we should stand firmly against. The benefits of economic opportunity must be felt by everyone, not just a select few, or we risk creating alarming divides within our communities. Therefore, I am calling for a strong focus on inclusivity and equity in whatever plans are under consideration.
