While inclusivity is essential, there seems to be an overwhelming focus on accommodating one group at the expense of existing residents. There is a palpable risk of escalating tensions between the communities if the needs of locals are overlooked in this proposal. Moreover, can we truly assess the capacity of services like public transport and healthcare to sustain this increase without extensive studies to support the projections? I believe we must reconsider how we approach this proposal, to ensure that all voices—new and established—are taken seriously.
