As someone who lives on the outskirts of the proposed strategic sites, I have serious concerns about the expansive infrastructure projects outlined within the IDP. The rapid increase in construction is alarming, and I fear that the current plan does not adequately take into account the possible detrimental effects it may have on local wildlife and green spaces. There appears to be a disjunction between projected growth and genuine environmental sustainability. I advocate for a much more thorough impact assessment on local ecosystems, as well as for establishing strict ecological protections to mitigate any adverse effects arising from development. The proposed growth should not come at the expense of our natural heritage or biodiversity.
