It is concerning to see that the proposed Local Plan aims to achieve sustainable development but lacks a firm commitment to tangible measures that reflect this ambition. The objectives presented in Section 4.2 appear overly broad, lacking specific metrics for success. There seems to be little opportunity for community involvement in the development process. As a resident, I believe it is vital that the proposals include precise targets, alongside regular reviews involving local stakeholders, to ensure public accountability and engagement. Without such stipulations, it feels like a hollow promise rather than a genuine commitment to sustainable progress. Too often, plans like this pay mere lip service to sustainability without accountability frameworks in place.
