The suggested alterations to the Green Belt boundaries struck me as fundamentally misguided and contradictory to reasonable urban planning principles. Allowing for new development in these areas sets a poor precedent that might lead to larger developments over time. The argument that very special circumstances will arise appears flawed, as history has shown that once the floodgates are opened, protecting these areas becomes increasingly difficult. I urge policymakers to reconsider this approach and maintain the integrity of our Green Belt for future generations.
